My Place

My Place

There’s my capitulation to great gardeners, those copper vines, mirroring the ones on the other end of the house. The gate and side panels are made of galvanized steel, primed, then painted with a flat black, then streaked and dabbed with verdigris to attain the faux-copper look.  Like most galvanized material, the zinc starts to come through in a decade in the form of a whitish dust.  The best system I’ve found with galvanized material is the POR-15 primer system.
